Aisha Jamila Hinds was born in America, and is well-known for her part on The Shield. Her range of talents has been proven through TV shows such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1, 8-7, and Under the Dome since she made her debut as an actor in the year 2003. She was first noticed for her performance as Anna in 2005's film Assault on Precinct 13. She was first recognized for her part in the 2005 biographical documentary All the Way. Hind received praise for portraying Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television renewed the show for a fresh season. Hind finished filming in the last few days in the Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters. It is due to release in the middle of 2019. Her father Krishnaraj passed away in March of 2017 after a long career as a scientist with the Indian Army. Vrinda, her mother, is a homemaker. There is an older brother Aditya Rai, who is a merchant navy engineer. The brother of Bachchan wrote and produced Dil Ka Rishta, along with his mother. She went to Arya Vidya Mandir High School in Mumbai in India, where her family relocated. She finished her secondary education through Jai Hind College for a year before enrolling at D.G. Ruparel College Matunga, where she achieved a 90 percentile on her H.S.C. exams. She studied classical music and dance for 5 years during her teenage years. Zoology was her favorite subject. Bachchan was a student of architecture in 1994 when she won the title of Miss World. The model was ushered into the top lane by the title. In addition, she was offered an impressive contract with L'Oreal Paris as spokesmodel in 2003. Two of the first films she made in her career were Aur Pyaar ho Gaya and Iruvar. Bachchan rose to prominence as a star in The New Bollywood because both films changed the Bollywood movie structure to the upside. Bachchan became the Queen of New Bollywood due to her role as the title character in Devdas 2002, one of the most famous Bollywood films. It also was the first Bollywood film to be screened at the Cannes Film Festival. After that, she was rewarded with high praise for her role as Chokher Bali (2003) an intense drama inspired by Rabindranath Tagore's story. In the same year, she was appointed as the first Indian actor on the Cannes Film Festival Jury. Bachchan played the role of Bride and Prejudice, a dance and musical adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice by Gurinderchadha. Bachchan brought both her star-power as well as her beautiful appearance to her first major English film. In 2006, she returned to Bollywood with her hit film Dhoom: 2 before releasing Provoked: The True Story (2006). In April 2007, she got married Abhishek Bachchan who is a frequent co-star and the son of Bollywood legendary Amitabh Bachchan in a marriage that brought together two of India's most powerful actors.
