Alison Doody
Alison Doody is an Irish model and actress. Born on 11th November 1966. After making her film debut with a small part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she was later cast to portray the Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Other roles include Siobhan Donavan on the film A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody was a model when she was approached by a hopeful photographer. Her career has since transformed into commercial modeling. Doody was adamantly against the glamour of thongs, nakedness and nudity during her modeling career. When she was spotted by the director of casting in a James Bond movie, she was cast of A View to a Kill as Jenny Flex. Doody was in John Willis Screen World Volume 2, as one 12 promising actors to be cast in 1986. 38. Only 18 years old when she appeared in the role Doody was, and still is - the youngest Bond girl that has ever appeared. A different early film was a small part as IRA member Siobhan Donovan on A Prayer for the Dying (1987) which starred Mickey Rourke. Doody played an unseen role as Archibald Craven's spouse Lilias as she appeared in the film adaptation of his fantasy, 1987's version from The Secret Garden. The Storyteller episode from 1988 included her in the leading character in the film Sapsorrow as well as John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. In 1988, she starred alongside Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. The most memorable role to date was as Austrian Nazi sympathizer and archaeologist Doctor Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody is a part of the James Bond family, having played alongside Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in the film Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. In 1991 Doody was co-starring with Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the publication fraud, also known as the Hitler Diaries. She subsequently relocated to Hollywood. She was chosen to replace Cybill Shepard in the role of L'Oreal spokesperson and then continued to play opposite Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his girlfriend and agent on the film Major League II. Doody's first appearance on the screen was in 2003, when Michael Caine played Doody in a short role. The year 2004, she appeared alongside Patrick Swayze alongside a TV adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody was as a character in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), which was a pamphlet that described the Holocaust. Doody filmed a role in the film of Danny Dyer, The Rapture. She was also to take on the role of lead in The Asphyx remake, but the project was cancelled. Pam Jefferson, the character that she played in the comedy series E4's Beaver Falls during its first season of two seasons. In 2014, she appeared on We Still Kill the Old Way (2014).
